Overdue
Yes now am officially overdue by 2 days. Thanks to everyone who has emailed or txt to say good luck, it is nice to know friends are thinking of us.
Still feeling quite comfortable so not desperate from that point of view to have the baby but it is the not knowing when which is hard and wondering if every twinge could be the beginning.
I've been booked in to be induced on 3rd June (next Saturday) if the baby hasn't arrived by then so the end is in sight.
Something that has kept me from dwelling on the impending arrival is that a chance has come up for us to buy our own house. So it has been great timing that I am on maternity leave so could make appointments to get a mortgage, fill in solicitors forms etc. The house is in a nearby village, has 3 small bedrooms and a little garden so is perfect for us. We'll see what happens.
Omar has got a bad cold at the moment but is not letting it spoil getting excited about meeting the baby. We are trying to make the most of doing all the things that might be difficult to do once the baby has come so are going to the cinema, going out for dinner etc.

Baby Shower
Tasting baby food and guessing what flavour it was supposed to be. Sam doesn't look very impressed!
Trying to put a nappy on while blindfolded. Didn't do too badly except for fastening it on backwards. Oh well practice makes perfect!

Emily in town

Emily came to stay - it was the first time we had seen each other since Christmas. We spent a girly saturday with mum too just chatting and having lunch and enjoying the sunshine. Then in the evening Emily had organised a baby shower for me which was brilliant - photos to follow soon. Here's a photo of Emily making contact with the baby and getting used to her voice!!
Well it's been a while since we updated the blog but our flying visit friends were indeed Mike and Melanie Murphy. They were meeting up for a romantic holiday in London while Mike is working abroad. We got to spend some time with them catching up and hearing all about their new grandson. They also had plenty of advice for us as future parents, having had four of their own.
