Celebrations continue at our place
Had ten adults plus Ben squeezed into our house last Thursday when Em and Sam came down after Christmas. We went out for a long walk, ate chilli con carne and the great grandmas played on the computer!

enjoying my new present

After being put together by his dad and two uncles (plus guidance from the armchair by seasoned toy assembler, grandpa) Benjamin's new 'Trekker' was ready to be enjoyed.

poncho and coca cola ham

Here is Ben wearing mummy's christmas poncho and our Christmas meal table (well wearing only the poncho)
Mendez Christmas

On 24th December we had a special day just the three of us. Cooked a lovely meal (coca cola ham, very tasty). Then we opened pressies. Here is Ben with his dragon from Renate, musical instruments from Laura and Alex and trains from Sam! What great presents.
Mummy's cheeky helper

Here's Ben when we were getting the spare room ready for Aunty Emily and Uncle Sam to come and stay.

Visiting Santa
For those who didn't know, Santa lives in the Co-op in Dartford! Benjamin went to visit him with all our friends from yoga. To get to Santa's grotto we had to take a sleigh ride - you can see the reindeer at the back of this photo. Thanks Santa for a lovely (but very noisy) gift.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas
We wanted to take a moment to wish all our friends and family, near and far, a very Merry Christmas. This has been such a special year for us for obvious reasons. A new baby, a new house and so many other blessings have come our way. Thanks to all who made it such a good year by being part of our lives.

A friend in waiting

We went to visit our friends Ruth and Tim who are expecting their first baby in early Feb. It is so exciting to know that a little friend for Benjamin is going to arrive soon.

Adios Jennifer
Sadly the time came for Jennifer to leave us and return to Guatemala. Here she is with all the 'stuff' she acquired while living in England for 10 months. Thoe other photo was taken the night before she set off while we stayed up late after struggling to fit all her stuff in the two bags she was allowed to take.
