Lunch with Charlie and Jack

Had a great time when Charlie and Jack came to visit. Here is Jack showing Ben how to use all the toys in the baby walker that he has loaned us now that he can almost walk by himself. Then Charlie read them a story. Hope that Ben can learn how to turn the pages as well as Jack one day. Posted by Picasa

A lovely saturday morning

Had a great weekend. Started with a lie in (Ben now doesn't get up till 8!), got the papers, then went out for a walk in the fields near our house. Here's Omar taking a call while I took some photos. Then we came home and got ready to have our friends Laura and Alex round for dinner. It was a brilliant day. Posted by Picasa

First tastes

We gave Ben his first tastes of real food. It was apple.
Since then he's also tried carrot. He seemed to take it in his strude. I think that I was more excited than him actually. I had to go and check my ice cubes of frozen puree several time just to make sure they were freezing nicely. It is really good to be able to feed him actual food. Obviously he's growing well and healthy but is nice to see the vitamins going in. Posted by Picasa

Bouncing Ben

Ben is loving bouncing around in this baby bouncer that he's been lent by his friend Jack. Jack is ready to take off and is busy moving around all over the place so doesn't need his bouncer any more and we are looking forward to seeing him when he comes to visit soon.

Quiet week

We had a quiet week last week as both Ben and I had colds plus Ben had two sets of injections poor thing. So we spent much of the week lying on the sofa sleeping and generally lazing around. Highlights of the week included my birthday which was lovely. A friend from church had organised a little tea party with some of the other mums which was fun and then Omar cooked my favourite food and we had a romantic meal for two after Ben had gone to bed. Ben slept really well that night so I got a good sleep which was another treat. He was four months old on thursday and has started eating some baby rice.
